Bearing Reviews

My Top Picks: 1. Black Panther 2. Girl Gold 3. Pig ABEC 5 (Lot's are tied for 3rd, I only picked one though)
Birdhouse Hawk High-Performance
These are pretty expensive bearings, and they have a huge improvement over the Birdhouse Jacked Bearings. These bearings are really fast and smooth and very quiet, these are one of the top bearings in the market for sure. Even though they are pretty expensive, you should think about buying them if you want a set that would last you for a really long time.
Birdhouse Jacked
These just plain suck, they break pretty quick and they are only last for the first little while before they slow down.
Black Panthers ABEC 3
I have had these bearings for a long time and nothing has happened to them. They are really fast for ABEC 3 and I don't know anyone who has ever broken one of these. They are a bit expensive for ABEC 3 Bearings but if you buy them you know that they are worth the price. I can't imagine what the Blank Panther ABEC 7's would be like!
Bones Reds Bearings
A lot of people like these, but I had a bad time with them, so I don't. I had these for not even a year, I broke 4 of them just doing regular stuff. For instance I rode off a 4 foot jump to do a 180 Indy and when I landed one of my bearings broke. The case flew off but was stuck cause of the nut and all of the little ball bearings fell out. I didn't even go straight of the 4 footer, I went of the side, where it was only 2 feet high. In total I broke 4 of them in a summer and they were really slow. BUT, my friends had these bearings for really long time, they weren't as fast as the Black Panther ABEC 3's I had but they were pretty close. These bearings are a lot cheaper the Black Panthers and for most people they find that they have a really good time with them. I think I might give them a second chance.
Bones Swiss Bearings
If you want to talk money wise these are probably the most expensive bearings you will come across. Though the price maybe large the bearings are really great, they have a huge reputation of being the fastest, smoothest and longest lasting bearings on the market. These bearings are really, really good, maybe even the best you can buy, so for the price you know they are worth it. The only downside to these bearings is that they have metal casing unlike most newer bearings like Black Panthers and Reds. So if you need to remove the case for whatever reason it is almost impossible to do so on these. Another bad thing about the metal casings is that when they dent you are screwed up and they can easily dent if you don't take time in taking them in and out of wheels. If you are careful, this could be the best buy for you!
FKD Bearings
The shields on these come of pretty easy which can get very annoying but you can just pop them back in. These are really fast and smooth but they aren't the strongest, and with the nice speed comes the loud noise. These are really good bearings even though the downsides, I know many people that had them or have them and they are very pleased with how they work. If you are not picky about bearings then you might want to buy these as they are fairly good bearings.
Girl Gold
Ok, lets start of with the bad things. Alright that is it, now the good, they are really fast, like crazy fast, they last for ever, shields never fall out and they are quiet and smooth. These are some of the best bearings out right now and they are really, really good, and so is the price. If you ever come across these and are even thinking about buying bearings, get them. Good as Gold, Girl Gold.
Luckys
These bearings are pretty good, not the best ones out there but they aren't a bad choice. The biggest problem with these is the metal cases. Rubber casing are common on bearings now and they are better then metal. They are easily removable so if a rubber casing falls out you can put it back in. Plus the rubber casings protect the inside from dust better then the meta ones and they also don't dent like metal ones. So metal casings when they dent tend to screw up your bearings bad and once they pop out they don't come back in leaving your bearing open to the exposure of nature.
Pig ABEC 3
These bearings are good, for the price. They are pretty fast, and last quite a while. The bearing shells fall out though, that is a really bad. Anyway overall these are great bearings if you don't want to be paying a lot of money.
Pig ABEC 5
Again, Metal casings! AHHH, I don't know I just think that metal casings are worse the regulars. Anyway bad start to this. Pig bearings are really great, I know lot's of people that have bought them and had them for a really long time. They are REALLY FAST and they are very hard to brake. The only downside is the metal casings, though it does that a long time for these casings to fall out, if they ever do. Dirt can't get in but once those casings fall out, watch out! Great bearings, should be a top pick for most people.
Pig Speedstar
These bearings are really fast, and smooth. They are carefully made for skateboard to endure the big gaps and the big speeds you will need. They last really long and no major downsides to these. Metal casings, not that much of a problem, just have to take extra time when you move these in and out of your wheels. These bearings are really great but I would go with Black Panthers over these.
Quickies Removable Shields
These bearings are built crappy, Black Panthers and Reds have removable shields, they don't care to point that out, and there shields only come out when you take them out, unlike these. The shields on these fall out really easily, and the bearing is really week. They break pretty quick, even off of little gaps, and they are slow, don't even think about buying them.
Reflex ABEC 5 Steel Shields
These bearings are really good for a couple months, then they suck. They are really fast and smooth for the first 2 or three months, then its like they have an expiration date, all of them just fait, they go really slow and they break easily. The shields pop out fairly easily even before the couple months and they break pretty easy even before the couple months too. These shouldn't be something you consider buying unless you don't mind getting bearings pretty often.
Speed Daemons Clear Shields
These are really nice and fast bearings, but there are a lot of problems with these. A lot of  people say you have to clean these a lot as the get really dirty really quick. They are really fast but they start to make a loud noise after a while, the shields seem to fall off pretty quick and that really leaves your bearings to die. I wouldn't recommend these, they seem to be a lot of trouble for quite a bit of people. If you really want them go ahead, they can't be that bad.
Speed Daemons Oiled Steel Shields
These seem to be way better then the Clear shields (above) and they cost the same. These bearings are crazy fast and the shields barely ever pop out. They last really long and you don't have to clean the much, a few people say they start to slow down after a couple of months and turn into the average bearing. If you buy these, I doubt you will regret it.
Speed Metal ABEC 3
These are nice fast, smooth and strong bearings but they aren't the fastest or the smoothest or the toughest. They are good but not the best,  they aren't as fast as the Black Panthers and they are louder for sure. There has been a couple cases where these have broken but they aren't too bad. I wouldn't really recommend these but if you get them they can't be really bad, they are worth there price.
Toy Machine T-Sect ABEC 5
Another great set of bearings, really fast, really smooth and really strong. Not something you might expect from a deck company. You should consider this as one of your top picks for you new set of bearings.
World Industries T-N-T
These are really fast and smooth but lot's of problems with durability and strength. These seem to break fairly easily and they don't last very long. After a couple of months they break down. They are really fast and smooth bearings and you might want to consider buying them but to me they are not a top pick. My friend had these and had a very hard time with them.
World Industries Grenade
These bearings bearings are rated ABEC 7 and they are very deserving of it. These bearings are really, really fast and also really smooth. They take a while to break in if you don't skate a lot, but if you skate hard everyday by the end of the week they should be great. Not only do these have a lot of speed they also are strong and last long (it rhymes!). They are really great bearings and you should think about buying them if you come across some. They also have a nice package.
Zero Black Widow Bearings
Zero is the maker of some real tough stuff designed to last through all of the aspects of skateboarding and these bearings are no exception to Zero's High standards. These bearings are built real well, really fast, and really tough they are a great buy. They aren't the fastest bearings out there but for the price they are definitely something you might want to look at.
