My Top Picks: 1. Element 2. Alien Workshop 3. Habitat |
420 |
These decks have a deep concave, the wood is strong so you can do some big gaps but they only have medium amount of pop. |
151 |
These decks are big, tough, and a bit heavy. Though they last long they don't have too big of a concave but do have a good amount of pop. |
Acme |
Not so big concaves, the pop isn't very good either. The Wood is pretty durable and it doesn't chip easy. |
Aesthetics |
These boards are great, they have a big concave, lots of pop and lasts a really long time. The wood is really durable and it doesn't chip. So you can expect these boards to last you a long time. |
Alien Workshop |
Almost everyone I know says these boards are good. These boards have kick ass pop, last a while, are light and have a big concave. These should be one of your top picks. |
A-Team |
Average pop, it flips really easy because most of them are skinny. The wood isn't that durable, it can chip pretty easy. But they do hold there pop for a long time. |
ATM |
These decks usually are blank so they don't cost a lot of money. They are pretty good boards too, the have a nice amount of pop, Huge concave and they last quite awhile. The wood is a tiny bit heavy but these boards can be pretty good for the money you pay. |
Baker |
Baker has a great amount of pop, a fair concave, hold the pop for a bit and they usually don't break. My friend had one and he really chipped it up, so these might chip. |
Birdhouse |
Usually wide, big, heavy and not much of a concave, but these boards have a sweet amount of pop and last for a really, really, long time. |
Black Label |
These boards are light, flip easy and last a bit. The pop on these is really good but these boards can chip pretty easy and also the concave isn't the best. |
Blind |
These boards are really light, can last a while and have good amount of pop. These boards don't last long though, mine chipped really easily and the wood wears down quick compared to boards like Element. |
City Stars |
These boards are light and flip well, the concave is pretty good and so is the pop. These boards don't last a really long time but they do last a fair amount. |
Consolidated |
Good boards, nice pop, nice concave, and they last a while. They are also fairly light, so if you see one, remember that they aren't bad boards. |
D.N.A. |
These decks are usually pretty good, they have a nice and big concave, are pretty light and have lot's of pop. They last quite a bit too. |
Darkstar |
These are one of the more popular/know company's. It's not bad a bad deck, lots of pop, really, really light and a huge concave. The only problem is these don't last too long. My friends have gone through tons of Darkstar decks and most of them break and chip about a month after they get them. |
Deca |
These decks are really nice, lot's of pop, nice concave, and they last quite a bit. |
Dynasty |
These decks have killer pop, its huge, the concave is nice, and they last a fairly long time. |
Element |
Great boards, really, really good. They are my favourite, nice pop, nice concave but the best thing about these is they last, really, really long. I don't know anyone ever even me who has chipped these or even snapped them. The tail and nose don't wear down too quickly either. |
Enjoi |
I hear these decks are really good, everything you need for street. They have huge pop and a nice concave and last a long time. |
Flip |
Average concave, the pop is huge at the starts but fades away fairly quickly, I also think these are pretty heavy. |
Foundation |
These boards are built really well, they last long and they are hard to chip. They have some big pop and a fairly nice concave. |
Fracture (UK) |
These decks are great, the only bad part is they are a big heavy and they don't have too great of pictures, most are blank. |
Girl |
My best friend had one, it was deformed, tiny and it wasn't too great. The board didn't have have much pop, even at the start, the deformity really sucked and it had a tiny concave, not much more then flat. (They might have changed, this was about in 1999) |
Habitat |
I have never heard anyone say anything bad about these decks. I have had TONS of E-mails saying these decks kick ass. So go and buy it! |
Hollywood |
These boards are great, great pop, strength and concave. This isn't too popular of a brand but you can test it out. |
Hook-Ups |
Famous for there nice graphics, these boards are favoured. A lot of people give into them (obvious reasons) and think they are Ok. Not many complaints, some people say they snap pretty quickly and get week near the middle of the board. |
Lib Tech |
Some people like them, some hate them. My friend got one cause he wanted to test them out. He was in love at the start, it slid quicker then any other board because of the fiber glass. A week later he was riding another board, he said that it started to peal and crack and it really wasn't skate able. On the other hand my brother's friend has only been riding these boards. He has had about 4 or so in a year and that the only kind of deck he ever buys. I guess you just have to test for yourself. |
Maple |
These boards aren't bad, they are fairly good some people say the concave isn't too great. Go with an Element. |
New Deal |
I really like New Deal's Logo, it's really cool. I have heard nothing bad about their decks. They are pretty much everything you want, and I heard the pop is nuts! |
Phantom |
I hear these boards are glow in the dark... Some people say when you slide a rail it glows! Sweet Other then that cool fact I hear they suck. |
Pig |
Just as good as the wheels. I hear these boards kick some harsh ass. I have never seen them my local shop but I think I might try them out when I do see them. |
Powell |
The Mini Logo board is almost blank so it really cheap. It's worth the money, it's not the sickest board out but it's worth the money. |
Real |
These decks are perfect except they don't last long. The wear down quickly, but for that short while, it is what you dream of. |
Rhino |
You can buy them at the Skateboard City shop and they are nice. These boards are really cheap compared to other boards but they are perfect, well worth the price of a normal board, but I am sure a lower price isn't a bad thing. |
Santa Cruz |
These boards are alright, fair amount of pop, they last quite a while and have a pretty nice concave. This not bad of a board but I wouldn't be surprised if this is not your top pick. |
Seek |
Not a famous company but they make killer decks, some say they would prefer these to Element (WAHH!!!) |
Shorty's |
Either you love or you hate em. Most people like them a lot. Even though they are really great boards they can chip fairly easily. |
Status |
These boards are sweet, won't bother listing what's good, I will just list what's bad... |
The Firm |
I am getting tired of saying everything is good, this board sucks... Actually if you want to know the truth it is a really good board, I haven't heard anything bad about them. |
Toy Machine |
These decks are big tough and have a nice amount of pop. The only bad thing is they are a big heavy and some don't have much of a concave. |
World Industries |
These decks are really, really light, especially the ones that are from the light weight's series. They have a nice big concave and lots of pop. Though the pop tends to go out quicker then most boards and these do chip pretty easy. They aren't too bad but don't count on them lasting a really long time if you skate a lot. |
Zero |
These decks are perfect, I love them the only thing is that they are a tiny bit heavy but they are really tough boards. |
