Your February '08 MOTM!
By badasskater at 2008-02-27 16:53

You wanted her, you voted for her, and now you have what you want. Here's the interview for your February 2008 member of the month, congrats to Rasa Libre Revolution!

Alright lets kick this interview off with the basics, full name, age, location.
Morgen Lester, I'm 17, and I'm currently residing in Arlington, TX.

How did you stumble upon Skateboard-City?
I was looking for trick tips on how to kickflip.

Hows it feel to be one of the sites first MOTMs?
It feels pretty good. I didn't even expect to get nominated, but I won and I'd like to thank everyone that voted for me!

Any advice you'd like to give to anyone looking to make a run at MOTM in the upcoming months?
Do your best to contribute and help people out, and be chill.

Do you still skateboard?
Yes, I do. For 5 years on and off, I think, now.

What's the greatest thing you've accomplished on a skateboard?
I think my biggest accomplishment with skateboarding in general was when I went on an Etnies road trip to San Fransisco to film and helped teach girls how to skateboard at the Girls Learn to Ride clinics.

What kind of music are you into?
All kinds.

What are your favorite bands?
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Bloody Beetroots, Crystal Castles, Job for a Cowboy, PlayRadioPlay!, Imogen Heap and the Bird and the Bee, to name only a few.

What do you like to do outside of sbc?
Play Xbox 360, smoke every now and then, of course skateboard, and go on adventures on the weekends.

Hows the love life?
I don't have time for a love life, haha!

Whats the story behind your username?
When I joined I was real into Rasa Libre when they first came around and alot of their ad campaigns had to do with the so-called Revolution. I thought it sounded cool, so I used it.

Whats your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate or cookies & cream.

Pepsi or Coke?
Coke! Pepsi is disgusting.

If you could have one phrase to live by, what would it be?
Don't let anything, or anyone hold you back, not even yourself.

Who are your life inspirations?
Anyone that is motivated, has passion and has a creative drive for life. People that like to have fun and aren't stupid about it.

What is the reason you wake up every morning?
To progress in every aspect of life.

If you could say one thing to all the young SBCians, what would it be?
Keep skating!

Any plans for the rest of your life?
Hell yeah, I have tons of plans. And it's one of my goals to always be involved in the skateboarding industry in one way or another.

Whats your opinion on Ryan Sheckler?
That kid is ridiculous. I'm not going to say much about him, but I do think he needs to come out of the closet.

What are your favorite movies?
The Brave One, Running with Scissors, V for Vendetta, 300, The Royal Tenenbaums and High Tension.

What are your favorite TV shows?
Basically anything on Nickelodeon, Adult Swim and Showtime.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
No skate stoppers and more public parks of good quality!

If you could change one thing about the site, what would it be?
That everyone would shut the fuck up about "how the site is going downhill."

How about that guy badasskater?
He's sounds just like me, a badass.

Lastly, are there any shoutouts you'd like to give to anyone from here?
SHOUT OUTS TO varial, pinkeh, jerseysucks, whitetrash, gally, GTS, xcxcxhx, SMR, lazylife, cory551, RWTF, RTS, skaterdude, MK, everyone that voted for me and anyone else on my friends list.

Well, I hope you liked the interview. We're still open for any suggestions because we haven't had MOTM for a while, so if you have anything you want to see, tell someone on the staff. Thanks to Rasa Libre for her time, thanks to all the people who voted for her, and thanks to Tom-e for making this all happen!

Noice. If I'm ever voted to do this, I was able to come up with some really good/funny answers for all those questions. But that was a great interview. Congrats RLR!
