The Failures In Skateboarding
Success is boring. In contrast, first-time failure is expected; it's the natural order of things. If you land a trick first try, it's either a fluke, or it just showed you already knew how to do that trick. If we landed everything first go there wouldn't be that satisfaction when rolling away from a trick we have tried 50 times. Simply because you wouldn't have learned anything from your first-time success.

Spot Hunting
I'm sure we've all had those days where we go out in search for new things to skate, but in the end have no luck. Either you're tired of the spots you always skate, or just located in a dull surrounding. Times like these call for creativity! Looking at things in a different perspective! Being open minded to what may seem boring can always spark up a great skate session. Here's some useful tips for the next time you go spot hunting. Let's get started!

Hey SBC, how's it going? It's Relisch here, starting up a little thing I'd like to call - "Check This Out!"
Basically, I'll be posting things that I have found on the internet, mostly skateboarding related, that I have found worthy of publishing. It may be a video, it maybe an article. Hell, it may even be a website.
Let's start out with one of my favorite parts - Grant Taylor in Debacle

Individ Clothing has been working close with all of us here at Skateboard-City, putting together various contests and offering some pretty sick deals. Well, they're doing it again and they asked if I'd pass along this message to you all about the Spring Sale that is currently going on, so here it is:

In case you havn’t heard the Individ Summer 2010 Collection drops online May 15th, and we are STOKED! In spite of all this hype we are lowering the prices on all our current tees. So head on over to the shop and go snag some killer deals! All orders come with a random handful of stickers, and every order is only $5 to ship no matter what size it is, so stock up!!

The Physics Of The Ollie!
The physics of an Ollie takes into consideration all of Newton’s first three laws and a few other factors. The skater rides the board which is inert until the rider’s foot pops the tail (acted on by an outside force). The force of the foot explained by the weight of the rider (in my case, 120 lbs) will determine how high the board will rise and the faster it rises. The harder you pop, the higher the board rises. It is a simple and elegant trick invented by a guy named Alan “Ollie” Gelfant in 1977.
