These two ticks are the basic motions of the frontside flip. You need them!
Other Skills:
Make sure you can ride comfortably in switch before trying this trick, or it can get frustrating.
What You May Find Useful:
Have regular stanced f/s flip first.
Doing The Trick
Positioning:
Have your back foot in the right hand corner pocket (left depending on your switch stance). Then have your front foot about in the center of the board with your heel hanging of a bit and your foot angle slightly towards the front bolts.
Motion:
Bend down as you get ready to pop, pop down the tail, and then scoop to the left (right depending on your switch stance) then sat the same time flick down and out with your front foot to get the board flipping. Once done, the board will spin, and rotate, and once you see the griptape, catch with your back foot, and then put your front foot on. Land, and roll away.
Video Trick Tips:
Troubleshooting
I can only get the flip half way.
1. Scoop harder, and flick a bit harder.
I can get the full flip, but only half the full 180.
1. Scoop maybe just a bit harder, and definitely pop higher to give the board time to spin more.
Where Do I Go From Here?
Maybe Switch 360 frontside flip like Lutzka. Those are hard, but if you want to try go for it.
