The name pretty much tells you what's going on in this trick. It's similar to a backside shove it, but this time you're going to be sending the board in a 360 degrees spin rather than a 180.
It's really important you have a solid backside pop shove, as this trick is essentially just a spruced up version of it.
What You May Find Useful:
Some people find doing these fakie much easier than doing them regular. Perhaps you will want to try a few in the fakie stance if you haven't already got them.
Doing The Trick
Positioning:
The back foot
Set your back foot up similar as you would for a regular shove it, but scoot it a little bit closer to the end of the tail. Make sure that you still have a firm plant on the tail with the ball of your foot however, as this will be doing most of the work in this trick.
The front foot
Put your front foot just a little bit above the middle of your board. Usually a few inches above the middle of the board (towards the front bolt) is a good spot. Put it at an angle of about 45 degrees, with only a little bit of heel hanging off the deck.
Motion:
When you're set up, bend down like you would for a regular shove it. When you pop your tail, use your back foot to sweep the tail behind you. It's going to take quite a bit of force to get this one spinning all the way. While you're doing this, lift your front foot out of the way so it doesn't get in the way of the deck
Once you've done this, you'll be up in the air looking down at your spinning deck. Make sure you make an effort to suck your legs up a little bit longer than usual, as this trick takes a bit longer than most to completely finish
When it's nearing completion, put your legs back down and try to spot your landing over the bolts. Occasionally, you'll find that this trick might go a little bit in front of you. If this is the case, try jumping forward a little bit to better stay over it.
As you hit the ground, absorb impact as needed. Also, when you're learning this one you might have to 'tic-tac' a little bit in case you don't get an entire 360 degrees rotation. As long as it's straight enough to maintain riding motion, you're all good
Video Trick Tips:
Troubleshooting
My board is getting away from me and I can't land on it
This is a problem you'll very likely have at some point or another with this trick. Consider adjusting how strong you're forcing the tail around. Also, try to angle the sweeping direction of your back foot a little bit more forward, rather than completely behind you.
It's not rotating all the way
Apply some more force with your back foot to make it spin completely. Also, consider holding your legs up in the air a little bit longer
The board is flipping over while it spins
This is because of your back foot. Make sure it's positioned in the middle of the tail rather than to any particular side. The more centered you have it, the more stable it will be while it spins
The board over spins
If you find your board is spinning more than 360 degrees, you likely already know what to do. Try putting less force into the spin with your back foot. Also, consider trying to catch it a little earlier.
I lose my balance when I land on it
If you have this problem, you might be landing on your board too early. Consider trying to let it spin a little bit more before putting your feet back on it. Also, make sure that you're not shifting your upper body when you're popping this trick. Make sure you keep your shoulders lined up with the board.
I'm having a really hard time with this.. Any other advice?
When you're first learning this trick, I think you might have an easier time if you don't pop the tail. Rather than doing a 360 POP shove it, do a 360 shove it. Of course, the motion will likely cause your board to lift of the ground a little bit, but it will be much easier to keep under your body.
Where Do I Go From Here?
This is a pretty nice trick to learn. From here, you might want to consider trying your luck with 360 flips.
