Shorty's Silverados

By Tom-E at 2006-02-11 17:34

Shorty's Silverados are one of the most commonly used type of hardware. They have a lifetime gaurantee against breakage, cost not much more then any other hardware, and they come with 2 screws silver and rest black. [album=Shortys_Silverados][/album]

Having 2 screws silver and the other 6 black makes marking the front/back of your board very easy. Its standard to place the 2 silver heads in the front. In this review we have the Shorty's Silverados 1" set, and as you can see in the pictures, put onto trucks without risors, they fit well with not much extra screw hanging off the end. If your going to be using risors, you might want to get a longer set, though they might fit even with these.

The hardware is solid, well built, anything that claims a lifetime gaurantee usually is. As far as hardware goes, we didn't measure but by hand, we did not notice that these were of any extreme weight on either end of the spectrum. The heads are very small, which is why they claim to be light weight. This sets a high standard for any competition hardware.

Shorty's Silverado's are a great buy when it comes to hardware. With a lifetime gaurantee against breakage and two screws being silver to mark your board, and a normal price, there really isn't a downside to buying these.

I have had these and broke them in a couple months, I liked them though, I didn't send them back to the company because I'm lazy.
