California Blank - BlankDecks.com

California Blank

-BlankDecks.com - Blankdecks has become fairly known over the past couple years for having a huge selection of blank decks at low prices... People have come to think, why pay 3 times more for a brand name deck when I can just buy a blank?. Well honestly, brand name decks do tend to be of higher quality than a blank, they are usually shaped slighty different, may use special technologies...etc.

Flip Tri-Cut / Side Cut Wailers

Flip Sidecuts

-FlipSkateboards.com - Looks can be deceiving and Flip proves that for us all by making the beautiful Flip Tri-cut/side-cut wheels that split apart way too soon. These wheels have to be one of the best looking wheels out there, they come in nice colours, they look cool, my personal favourite were the Wailer colours so thats the wheel I picked out, 52mm too which is cool.

Krux Downlows Trucks

Krux Woodgrain Downlows

-KruxTrucks.com - Krux has been making some really stylin' trucks lately, wood, marble, cow patterns... So we had to investigate, and wood looked the best to us.

These trucks really do look like their made out of wood, they have unique patterns so you will most likely have 2 slightly different trucks (in the printed wood design), they fool people like you wouldn't beleive, which also makes them a really hot conversational piece! "Bonus!"

Krux Downlow's claim to have "The lowest kingpin of any low truck, 4mm lower than the hanger!", though we didn't measure, we beleive this to be true. They also claim to have bushings that "feel broken in from the start!" and they are indeed awesome. They feel great right out of the box ("myth confirmed") and they stay that way.

We didn't find any downsides, these are what trucks should be, they turn great, they're solid, durable, light, nice looking... They're everything you need.

The print does fall away as you would expect, but the truck is painted a yellowy-woodish colour underneath so they don't shine silver right away... On a normal rail it stays on pretty well, if you go on some rough ledge, well it will chip away quicker...

These trucks rock, they set a high standard and don't lack in any area. We defenitly recommend Krux Downlows!
