Independent Stage 9 Trucks

Official Site: www.independenttrucks.com

Features:
Indy's new stage 9 truck features an all-new lightweight hanger and base plate design; new ultra durable 4140 chrome-moly steel axles; reduced thread length on axle; precision drilled mounting, kingpin, and pivot holes; and the same FAST-ACTION, Indy Truck geometry.

First Impressions: I bought these at around the price $30, in a regular silver color, although they've dropped down to around the $20 range now. Right after I got them I went to the local skatepark and skated the mini pretty much the whole time, I then noticed how nice they slid and how responsive they were, to this day the still almost as good as they did then and I haven't had any problems.

Response: As just mentioned, the response is great. No matter what tightness you like your trucks at they feel perfect. I also didn't have that problem that when you're riding straight forward the trucks turn to either side, these trucks only turn when you want them to. You won't be disappointed with the response. I'm giving it a 9.5/10.

Durability: Just like I said, they slide close to as good as they did when I first got them, but that's not the only good thing about these truck's durability. First off, I never had a problem with the bushings, I still have the same ones that came with them. I've also never had a problem with the kingpin getting in the way when grinding, the kingpin's not really that low but the trucks don't wear down easily, to say the least. I had no problem with any part of the truck when it comes to durability. Overall I would give the durability a 9/10.

Slide: I can't stress this enough, but these trucks slide great. And as said before, they slide well the whole time you have them. Once again, the kingpin doesn't get in the way easily so that isn't something you're going to have to worry about. Sure, they don't slide as so well that you don't need to use wax, but not much does. Slide gets a 9/10.

Weight: I'm always hearing about how these trucks are heavy, weight is something I in particular don't mind, so I got them anyway. I soon realized these were not heavy, they're not extremely light, but they're not heavy, just a bit on the heavy side, which is not going to mess you up unless of course you've been skating the lightest trucks available. And even then, it's not hard to get used to. I think it's the perfect weight for a truck, and others agree.

Overall: These trucks are one of the best on the market for any type of skating, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. These are the best trucks I've ever had and I will definitely buy more, the only flaw, which is barely even one, is that they are slightly on the heavy side. I would give them an overall score of 9.5/10. They're amazing.

Pros:

Respond Well
Slide Well, for the whole time you have them until the kingpin interferes
Are very durable

Cons:

Slightly on the heavy side, which some people wouldn't consider a bad thing

Yeah, I bought some of these a while back and they work great. Mine came in a chrome and red though and I've only to date replaced one bushing on them. I however bought them for $50, but still a really great deal.

i used to have those trucks too and they were amazing until mine started to get rusted out and were dying . but today i just got some new aces which are in my opinion better than indys. if you like indys you should try some aces.
