Style/Looks
In my opinion, this is one of the best looking skate shoes out there. The colorway that I have, (Black/Black/White) looks very classy yet stylish and good. It fits ANY style of jean, shorts, or even capris or a skirt. I really can't put into words how much I like the look of this particular shoe. Enough said.
Ok, I got these shoes rather cheap of my friend Jimmy ($25, brand new), but the style I have runs for about $70. I'm sorry that I don't have a camera to show damage, but I'll be discriptive.
Looks: Personally, I love the looks of these. Very plain and simple, yet killer. The plaid insole is pretty nice looking (eventhough no one will see it). The tongue isn't puffy at all, yet still is soft and fits great. The shoe also has an innerlacing system, which will completely prevent lace ripping.
Oh the Shearlings. A classic. Classic in the sense that they are considered some of the ugliest skate shoes ever to be dropped, right next to the infamous D3s. Few people have the balls to wear these and even less are willing to pay the price for them. At a hefty $90 and the looks of a large dead frog, few people ever purchased these shoes. But everytime you see a picture of these babies, don't deny the first thing that crosses your mind. "How do they skate?!" Well, about a year ago, I picked up a pair of these babies for $30. Well worth the price, but in the ugliest colorway available.
For the real new comers out there, before leaving to Lakai, Eric Koston skated for eS footwear, he came out with seven different pro models, with simple names like the K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6 and K7.
Today I will be reviewing the high top, full black leather version of the K6.
Price:
Originally, these shoes marketed at around 50-60$. After Koston left eS, though, they have become surprisingly easy to find and cheap. The pair I got were $35, but I'm sure with a little bit of searching, you could find even cheaper.
