Camp Woodward. What can I say about this brilliant place? Recently, I traveled to Woodward East for a week, and I have to say, this camp was the highlight of my skateboarding life. Even now, in retrospect, as I think about the time I’ve had there, I’m getting the excitement jitters. Woodward is the pinnacle of skateboarding parks/camps. This is the ultimate action sports getaway.
Amazing was the first word that came to mind while watching this video. The editing, the skateing, the sheer feeling that just makes you want to go out and skate are all presesnt while watching.
Cooper Wilt starts off the video with first part that is sure to not let you down. He has a very unique style that shows his control and makes trick look easy. Transworld was not kidding in there article on the vid when they said it would be hard to skate with him by the fact that he ollies beetween tree's powerslides on 80 degree walls and other such interesting tricks. But for those who like watching hammers go down he's got those as well as dose he have amazing tranny skills. Daewon and Chris Haslam have a small section in his part that is sweet as well. As Coop says in his intro, He can't be classified.
Jessup Griptape has been around for a while now, and it's one of the top known names when it comes to griptape.
This stuff is pretty much the standard; lot's of shops will give you a sheet of this stuff with any board you buy for no cost, some will charge you, but the cost will always be pretty average. Just browsing some online skate shops, we find that Jessup Griptape is usually a dollar cheaper then other well known brands.
Applying this stuff, the glue feels strong, but not the rip-your-skin off kind of strength. This is not a bad thing though, because we've skated a lot of Jessup gripped board, and we've never ran into any troubles regarding the grip coming off.
Shorty's Silverados are one of the most commonly used type of hardware. They have a lifetime gaurantee against breakage, cost not much more then any other hardware, and they come with 2 screws silver and rest black.
Having 2 screws silver and the other 6 black makes marking the front/back of your board very easy. Its standard to place the 2 silver heads in the front. In this review we have the Shorty's Silverados 1" set, and as you can see in the pictures, put onto trucks without risors, they fit well with not much extra screw hanging off the end. If your going to be using risors, you might want to get a longer set, though they might fit even with these.
