I'm new to skating, and I've seen some really good people skate, and it seems like i'll never be good. How long does it take to be good at skating?

It depends on what tricks you can do, the neatness of the tricks, if you can land them consistently, and having good style.

like everyone else said, people go at their own pace. I've been skating for 2 years but seriously got into it about 8 months ago. I can still only do ollies, switches on a ramp, and I'm now working on powersliding. Keep practicing and you'll get better.

i say if your going at a good pace and you practice a lot you have good,to where you can actually say "im skating".bu tabout one year you might have all the basics and some advanced tricks.if your at a good pace.just keep skating and you will have it.
