Question Shake Junt OG's 7 vs. Independent 7 bearings

Hey everyone,

at first, I rode a long time Bones Reds and want to try different bearings- so no Reds as option.
Here in Germany Swiss bearings are very expensiv (bones swiss = 85 USD, no joke!) -so no Swiss currently. The price of Shake Junt or Indys bearings are the same here.

So this question-thread goes out to people who rode Shake Junt OG's and Independent bearings (,or rode one of each and Bones Reds) and can give me a conclusion which one:
-are more durable (in fact of impacts)
-keep dirt etc. better out (don't need to be cleaned as often)
-got better speed
(-is better than REDS in these upper options)

I prefer to ride 'em in park (bowl-/ pool).

Thanks a lot for your time an feedback!

Cheers,

Chris

The Independent bearings will keep the dirt out more but the Shake Junt Bearings will probably last longer. They are both just as fat straight out of the box.

Thanks SkateBaker15 for your feedback.
-If I understand you right, Indys don't need to clean that often (cause dirt stays better out of the bearings) but shake junts are more durable. Can you tell me something about the speed - difference between both?

Valor389: Can you compare Indys 7's to Shake Junt 7?

Never skated shake junts. Just get indys this time and shake junts next time and you can compare them yourself.

Darly: does it mean that you won't buy 'em again or you'll buy nothing else anymore than SJ? ...also why?

Thanks

swiss aren't worth it anyway. they're not much faster than reds not any faster than my fkd saw blades which cost me $20 didn't last that long either.
i'd get shake junt though

Having only ridden Indy7s out of what you listed I'd suggest the Indys. I have ridden Super Reds, Bones Swiss Six, and Black Panthers Abec7s (on my kids' board). The BP are excellent bearings.

I've had mine for about six months and have cleaned them once.

They were fast out of the box (as they claim), are very fast once broken in, and keep dirt out just fine? They've dual rubber shields (super reds only come with one for the outer side).

I've heard good things about shake junt and the cost is about the same as Indy, give or take a $1.

I still prefer my Swiss Six (use them exclusively for bowls). They are much faster than anything I've owned recently.

well first I haven't heared anything bad about Independent 7's and Shake Junts 7's. So I flip a coin and it said "Shake Junt".

So I'll pick up a pair of 'em today... weather sucks, so I can't ride em yet (hopefully tomorrow)... I know it has nothing to say but man I put the bearings on my board and they spin so damn fast.. like break in right out of the box... they are definitly spin 50% or more faster than reds. Also the S.J. got double caps like Independent 7's.

We'll see how the ride the next days - I'm excited

Thanks again to all, who give their feedback here

after some sessions (just indoor but the floor seems to be really dirty) shake junts still running... speed since day one and while skating they are really fast and you can't hear them spinning.

In my eyes a really good alternativ to bones reds.

maybe you hit a bad pair? Or maybe I got luck? In some comments (on skateshops) I read that some wheels are defect in the box... all my bearings spins fine. I'll review when they are destroyed
