New Paltz - Skateboard-City Forum

Anyone familiar with this town/the areas around it? I'm thinking about applying to SUNY New Paltz for college and was wondering if there's anything to skate in this area.

I'm about 30 min from NP. Not sure what the scene is like up there or spots etc, never skated in the town, but there are a few parks in the area. The town it's self is kinda small, they have a skate shop, so I would assume there's a decent scene. Also thinking of going to SUNY NP next spring.
