Thanks man, I was worried it was too long or something. I ended up cutting it down a whole lot trying to make it shorter, but eh, didn't really work.

And if you're "that kid" of the group.. Haha, after watching my friend (well, I didn't watch it, but you know) get so good so fast... Man, I'm willing to think anybody could do any trick with enough effort/motivation.

The kid I wrote about.. Of our little group, he's the only one really left that's doing it as much as we used to.. The whole every day all day when he can.. He has gotten to the point where he can just do any trick I can think of on flat, though he doesn't really skate gaps much. I can't remember the last time I beat him in skate >.>

I gotta admit sometimes you make these really long philosophical posts and I roll my eyes a little, just because I've been your age and done the same thing, and I know teenagers often have this disease where they think some thought of theirs is really deep and amazing and epically original, while it actually isn't.
This, however, was really good.

Yeah foreal man. Lately i've been slowly drifting away from skating but this really reminded me of what it was that attracted me to it in the first place.

I was never that kid, haha, but i deff knew a few. Everyone would encourage them and tell them they're doing better n shit, and they were, and they knew they were.

Good job man, really captures the idea that skating is just people doing what they love, yaknow? It's not about competition or even skill for that matter, it's about the community.

I honestly looked at it and said "Fuck this, it's way too long." But I still read it and I have ot say, it was pretty damn good.

In a way skateing can be a coping device with every day problems or just a time killer all in one
