I got my camcorder set up a few days back and I'm debating whether to purchase Final Cut Pro or not....I think iMovie is limited and kind of cheesy... anyone get this feeling when they first started using it too? I don't think it'd be a bad idea to start learning FCP.

If you really want to edit get FCP, if you just wanna throw together a video real quick that looks clean then iMovie is for you.

well if you have the money then final cut pro is obviously the better choice

Don't forget about Premiere. Very good program. Cheaper than FCP7 and way better than FCPX. FCPX is iMovie on steroids so if you want something like that then its good for you.

Final Cut Pro forsure man It will make your videos look more professional and you wont ever be limited on your editing capabilities
