Default Final Cut Pro vs iMovie

I got my camcorder set up a few days back and I'm debating whether to purchase Final Cut Pro or not....I think iMovie is limited and kind of cheesy... anyone get this feeling when they first started using it too? I don't think it'd be a bad idea to start learning FCP.

Here's a pic of my current camcorder set-up...not included in the picture are my Rode VideoMic Pro, Hoodman LCD Lens Hood & Tri-pod .

If you really want to edit get FCP, if you just wanna throw together a video real quick that looks clean then iMovie is for you.

Don't forget about Premiere. Very good program. Cheaper than FCP7 and way better than FCPX. FCPX is iMovie on steroids so if you want something like that then its good for you.
