I was joking by the way ! just incase !! i can see why some people dont really care about what they listen to. for me it all depends on my mood and what im doing, if im trying to learn i generally put some reggae or hiphop on, and if im skating somewhere or doing tricks i put punk/ hardcore on...

truth be told i listen to a lot of punk/thrash/anything else with a guitar....except indie rock. that genre creeps me out

skateboarding has deep roots in the punk rock, hardcore, and hip hop movements of the 80's, among other subgenres branching from those. the late 90's and 2000's are when it became what it is today with the huge clash of styles and music.
