soo first time on a board in nearly 4 years
New board just came in 15 minutes ago and since it's pouring out i decided to try a few things in the house. I thought i was gonna fail miserbly, but i didn't?
i only lost 1 trick which was a lazer flip, but other than that i've learned more. not the same ollie as i had, but still around 2 feet i can do heelflips still, even doubles which i havn't before. i havn't been able to land a kickflip since i was 8, now i can do single, double and almost triple (closest i've come i landed on it but slipped off beause my feet were too far off the board.) i can to varial kicks, varial heels, indys and working on my 180's again. i've never tried switch or nollies because i've never cared for them, they always annoyed the hell out of me so i never bother with them. but now i can nollie and working on nollie flips right now. i'm just curious as to where the hell this came from:| lolol i can't wait till tomorrow though too, we just got a new skate park put in a couple days ago which i'm gonna give a shot at. one problem though after 10 minutes my legs are cramped and all sore lmfao. that's what i get for being lazy the past year. any idea how much a decent recorder would be in canadian dollars? anything like this happen to anyone else? idk, i just thought i'd share my excitementtt.:D:D and shit i'm glad to be back again |

Congrats bro, about 4 months ago I picked up skating again for the first time in about 3 years. It took me a few weeks to get used to it but I'm already wayyy better than I was when i was younger. Guess the long skate break works wonders eh?

it's all muscle memory man. once you realize that you never actually forgot how to skate you can pick up where you left off. face it, skateboarding loves you!

lol yea but apparently it doesn't like my shoes very much =\
left side of my shoe laces are ripped right off form being shredded against the grip which is kind of an annoyance since they're brand new 90$ shoes lol. are there any...grip resistant shoe laces? Might have been a spur of the moment though, went back after i rested my legs for afew and now they're all kind of sketchy D= nice trex, feels good to be back eh? |

circa, never owned a pair of them and the shoe store here is turning into a running shoe store really, only a couple shoes there to skate in.
There's no shoe store near me though so i can't really go anywhere else unless i pay 200$ at the little local skate shop i found. it's hiding in an alley way lmaoo, never realized it before |

kinda bummed now though because it still hasn't stopped raining =\ I'm just thinking it's because i'm older now and have more control over my muscles, last time i skated my balls were just starting to drop. Black label 7.75 venture los 53m ricta naturals reds bearing I know most people hate on any boards smaller than 8.0, im just not a fan of bigger decks and to be honest with you, i may even go back to 7.5s lol and thanks dude, i'll check the laces out. yea I know, i stopped and got into biking. It's fun as hell but it can't compare to skating.
got outside for a minute, i can do most of the tricks i posted but they're not as clean when i'm moving, ones i posted was stationary in my house lol. Was gonna go out tonight and skate for a few hours because it started to dry up, but it just started pouring again ffs. Past week this crap hasn't stopped. I even paid an extra 40$ to get my board here a few days quiker because i was too anxious to skate but that's gone to waste because i havn't been able to use it. god hates me? |

lmaoo. alright man, i checked them out and i'll try them when i get paid next.
It's been a week since i bought my board and i still havn't been able to use it, it was sunny today but i was busy. Was gonna go out half an hour ago but it started raining again. It has stopped though and there's nothing really on the ground, it's wet but there's no puddles or anything. If i go and ride now my wheels will pick up a bit of water and may spray it up at my board. So i'm wondering now if i'll be fine in that or not? I wont be doing anything other than riding around so i can get used to the feel of it again. I don't think it would really fuck anything up, but then again i've never skated in anything but dry ground before. |
