Tom's drinking and all that kind of adds to his mystique in a way. Some people do it and it works for them. I thought it was funny when he said "Is this for real, or is this really real?" in the intro. He had probably my second or third favorite part in the video. It's a toss up between his part and Appleyard's. Rowley's part was an easy first for me.

basically if he had actually ever tried for his skateboarding career, he could have been the best. but he didnt, he got too involved in 'living life' as geoff rowley puts it i think, in other words, getting fucked up.

He's still unmatched, not as in most skilled skater but as the most laid back. That surely has a lot to do with all the weed he smokes. Too bad his part wasn't as good as the montage from Argentina on youtube, but the only reason I think that is because it's shorter.

Overall this might be my favorite video ever, I like everything about it.

What do you mean he "could have" been the best? as far as accomplishments go in skateboarding, tom penny has already done so much. Switch fs flip carlsbad 2nd try? That amazing Earl Warren downhill line in the 411 flip industry section, tom penny has always been a legend. And he IS the best, always has been, and with effortless style.
So what if he dosnt try his hardest? thats just tom. I think you need to do your research on him a little better. Other than that good review. Editing is cool in this video
