I skated my armor light for two days and it cracked bad when i took it down an oversized three, it was still skateable but kinda useless
I went onto the darkstar website and read their warranty I tried breaking it all the way but it is nearly impossible, there are fibers in the middle layer and there is no way u can break an armor light into two pieces I ended up sending the deck to darkstar and they sent me a new one with grip but it was a different design and a different size but still better than nothing |

Yo my boy just got one and that shit is fine. I wouldn't say it has crazy pop or is a board far better than the norm, but for some reason, out of like the 5 boards me and my friends have, its actually the best. He had it for three weeks. Its not great, but it does its work. More durable than anything else. There's some truth to what this guy said, but he's got hate.

I would agree that maybe the board doesn't have the best quality wood on it, but it provides good pop and has positive features. If u could find something u know is better go with that, but i wouldn't just non-recommed it. Trial and error.

This may be the worst board ever. Considering all 4 of my darkstar boards broke within the first 2 weeks. The armorlight i had broke on a tre down a 4 set at 4 days of skatng it. my friend had one and it broke on a kickflip off of a ledge after 2 weeks. Darkstars have great shape but are the easiest boards on the planet to break.

You're right, these boards suck completely. My friend had one, and after it pressure cracked in about 4 different places inward heeling a 6 within two days of him having it, we just laughed at it and tried to see what we could do with it. If you saw it apart there is a weird netting on the inside. Stick with the regular 7 ply, I don't understand how everyone is falling for the gimmicks these companies put out. |

i didn't really like the whole armor light thing, it broke just as easy as a normal deck. The shape was kind eh, and the wood felt soggy with less flex from the carbon fiber insert. I've ridde them all, seirously(element, anti hero, real, krooked, girl, chocolate, plan b, powell, santa cruz, creature, flip, baker, birdhouse, alien workshop, habitat, almost, blind, enjoi, darkstar, black label, toy machine, foundation, zero, zoo york, and mystery http://www.utilityboardsupply.com/get_list_120.htm) and cant say that darkstar was one of my favorites.

Listen, I've been skatin' since 1982 on the first Powell Peralta RIP board...What's all this talk about "pop"? Are you kiddin? I can ollie a trash can on my Old school Sims fatty....These new boards ALL have more pop than the old school boards ever had and hell, I nearly ollied a car the first time I tried to launch my ollie on these new boards...I think you might be spoiled repti-guy....If your any skater at all, you'll remeber when the first new Cabellero came out with the new layered system...I had that broke on a launch ramp on week one...No refunds...Just go skate and have a blast...If you like Darkstar, go for it...The Darkstar pro skaters aren't small kids and they were rippin' it up on those boards...If those fatties can "pop", then it clearly doesn't have anything to do with the decks...
