yeah i wish they still showed the skateboarding advert. all the old people in the area where i live didnt have ago at me for skateboarding after that advert - instead they were all like 'can you do those tricks the clever people on the bbc do?' i guess after about the 20th old person asking me to do a kickflip it got pretty annoying but its better than them shaking their heads as i skate past.

Started when I was 13 when me and some friends saw a few skaters in town. We all went and bought shit boards from Halfords, they didn't even have concaves at either end. No wonder it took so long to learn to ollie.

I gave up not long after, and I've just started skating again in the last few weeks, aged 19.

i stared skating the day i turned 12, im still 12 and im not gona even think about givin up yet so i dont think people who have been skating for about 3 months should give up because there crap cos it takes time to learn gd tricks cos 2 be honest i still cant do gd tricks

I got a board when I was about 10. I messed about with it for a while. Then I started skating properly about 10 months ago. I will be 13 in like 2 weeks!

I started riding when I turned 10. (I rode pokemon boards earlier though!) 10 is when I got my first "pro deck" (Birdhouse Tony Hawk 1 ehe) Now i'm almost 17 and I still can barely do anything, I did take massive breaks in those years but I can still hardly land anything.
