Bigger wheels are for speed. Such as for filmers and longboards. Any kind of tranny (bowls, mini ramps, vert) larger wheels are nice. I ride 51s, because I only skate street.

I ride 54mm they last longer, and they are faster. I guessing for slides like blunts , nose, and tail slides.

Go bigger... Small doesn't make it any easier to flip the board, and you just give up speed.

I had 53mm wheels and after a while they seemed more like bearing holders than wheels. I will probably get bigger wheels next time because with smaller wheels when I go down some ramps at skateparks the bottom of my board scrapes on the concrete.

They will shrink anyways. just stay with 54mm and your wheels will last longer.

i got 50mm wheels for my board a lil while ago, but only coz they didnt have any bigger at my local skate shop. I find them faster than bigger wheels, and its harder for u to stay on the board due to their small size, bigger wheels are more stable in my opinion..
