    Default Decks = Decisions

This thread is concerning the subjects and threads asking which deck brand is "better", or which has more "flip".

You aren't going to find the answers to these questions on a messageboard or from any of your friends, the deck that you'll find to be the best will come from your personal experiences with them. Sometimes it'll take months before you find a board that will truly work for you. Just try different brands and designs. And don't be affraid to try a brand you aren't familiar with. And don't stick to buying only one brand through out your life unless you know it's one that truly works for you. Don't ever buy a deck just for the name and logo. Also don't be affraid to ask questions to the sales dude at your skateshop, they know alot more than you think and would be glad to help you out with this subject considering how most kids buy decks just out of brand interest.

It's completly fine to ask question in this forum about it, but just keep what I said in mind.

Yeah, definetly. If you're new to buying a deck, ask the dudes at the shop to help you. They will probably be happy to help you (They don't really do anything anyway.) and they aren't assholes as some think.

I almost never comment to those threads anyway. Because like you are explaining different people have different preferences.
For example, everybody here is in love with BAKER boards. I like Foundation 10x more than BAKER, but I'm considered a ''fucking idiot'' by stating that opinion. The funniest thing is, a lot of people who do comment those threads, never even skated neither of the deck choices!

The people at skate shops around here say that Bones Reds are bad and last a month, and promote $60 dollar Element Fiberlights and Bam bearings.

AllI have ever skated in my time skateboarding is Bones Reds. They usually last long and perform well but if they are mistreated at all (i.e water) they will break. The cover will come off and the ball bearings will come out one by one untill there is nothing left and your wheel is moving all about the axel.

I think every halfassed member has made a thread like this. There's no universally perfect deck. It's completely preference, that's all.

i have the same issues with the reds the people at the skatshop love em but they are probably some of the worst bearings i have ever skated. i like the toy machines that come in the little despenser, i dont even know if they still sell those.

I hate it when you see little kids with the most obvious boards like Element, Hawk and other brands that you see on THPS games.
My Board cost me over $400 and half the brands ppl don't know :D

    Board: A Black Almost Deck
    Trucks: Krux $120
    Wheels: Element :(
    Bearings: TNT
    Griptape: From Speakys

One of the things i hate is when you see kids who buy all these expensive boards and they think they are all cool and are pro when they actually suck, and the deck that i like most of the time whould have to be a darkstar or a bullet.

    board: bullet
    trucks: grindkings
    wheels: blank
    bearings: reds
    griptape: normal

Why doesn't everyone just get a shop deck or a blank deck?

There usually half the price of a brand name deck, have decent, strength, pop, lightweightness, etc.
