I think they're a brilliant band. Electrical Storm is one of my all-time favorite songs. Yeah, Bono's voice isn't the most masculine, but his lyrics are tight and The Edge is awesome with his guitar.

thats true. bono wasn't even going to be in the band at first, they were going to hav the edge as the singer and lead guitar. but they are a great band.

I don't like them, their songs seem so dull.

That and I think Bono looks like a complete tool, but eh, that's not saying I can judge his character.

Yeah they're a great band. My favourites are Where the Streets Have No Name and Sunday Bloody Sunday.

I still have no idea why so many people hate them with a passion!

I personally think that they are one of the most overrated bands in the history of music.

They did have a couple of songs that I like, but I've only heard each one of those ones once, so I don't know the name. I just know that one was the first song that they played when they were on Conan O'Brien, and they were the only guests. It had really fast tremelo, and uh... It sounded cool.

Besides that, I personally don't like them. I do appreciate the efforts that Bono has put in for the environment though.

ok first, ther new album "how to dismantle an atomic bomb" blows the cock completely, so dont judge them on that. ther 1980s music was the best. the greatest hits cd has most of ther best songs

I actually like HTDAAD. City of Blinding Light, Miracle Drug, and Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own are all great songs off the album.

With their 80's stuff, it was nice, but I think between 1990-2000 was their best era. They released Joshua Tree and Beautiful Day during that timeframe (BD may have come out in 2001 though, I can't remember).

Both of their Best of albums were excellent.

iTunes said it was 1990 when it came out. Same general time though

Vertigo was overplayed to an extreme all over. It was good at first, but I'm sick of it now.
