You can try Ace Lows (48mm tall), Mini Logos (46.5mm), Tensor Mag Light Lo’s (45.5mm).

Riding Venture V-Hollow on the right deck feels really great (big pop, stable). I love the low-to-the-ground feeling. I went from 53mm to 50mm wheels (each drop in mm actually only gets 1/2mm lower — but in my case it’s an extra 1.5mm drop).

Trucks I am interested in trying are Royal Lo (48mm), Silver L-Class (48-ish mm), and Destructo Lo Bachinsky.

note: these trucks all feel very different. You could run into problems (e.g., switching from Venture to Mini Logo on a 14” Wherlbase deck—you center of gravity will change and you’ll have to adjust for the longitudinal north to south stability you get; board may shoot out from you at first).

One final thing I’ve done to get a low to the ground feeling—skate flatter decks. I’m talking below medium concave. I enjoy the OG, mellow concave boards from Deathwish, Chocolate, Toy Machine (even mellow concave from Almost and Blind); however, nothing really beats the D.O.A. Flat As Fuc* decks — an 8.25 will feel closer to an 8.38 / 8.5 from other brands.

On the DOA decks I’ve noticed—weirdly, truck height becomes less of an issue, then mid truck feels like home, that gives you another flavor of that low to the ground feel that’s familiar but special.
