Skating is one of the most popular exercises in the US and everybody is going for it. Owning a skateboard will help you learn new techniques faster, see more: skateboard for beginners at skateadvisors. This has therefore raised a concern for the construction of more skating parks to quench this demand. Lucky enough, there are companies that design and construct these parks already running in the community meaning the remaining workload is not as much.
This, however, may not be the solution of the whole issue seeing that there are no set construction standards put in place by which the park constructor can measure up to.
Without the standards, it has become extremely difficult to build a skate park for most communities. The Skate park Association of the United State of America (SPAUSA) for instance, have a history of working on the problem by developing both concrete and wood guidelines to no avail. This is because the guidelines are still way below the American Standards and Testing Materials (ASTM) approval.
Fortunately, this doesn’t mean that the construction of solid skate parks is altogether halted. Knowing what to watch out for and holding the constructors responsible may go a long way in making the construction of such parks a success. If you are planning to build a skating park, you should ensure that you are working with qualified designers and constructors.
For example, you should work with a landscape architect, your construction crew should follow the specifications with a maximum error of an eighth an inch and they should be held accountable should anything; regarding the construction logistics, happen to the park in the future.
It’s paramount to be informed of the common construction problems before going into action because it can save you repair costs in the future and during the construction process. Furthermore, riders would definitely prefer to visit a safely constructed and well-featured park than they would in one that is unsafe and boring; this is an assurance that the park will always have a good flow of visitors. RAMP UP
Movement and shifting of the fitted ramps is the greatest challenge associated with above-ground parks. These movements cause gaps which are quite lethal since skateboarders can catch a finger in the gaps and fall on the sharp-edged surfaces lifted from the ground. They could also fall due to the uneven ground hence injuring the rider and cases can create legal concern demanding the city to liable for the repercussions.
The ramps’ landing area should be wide and strong enough to accommodate a large number of riders landing at different PSI (pounds per square inch) degrees. There has been a case where an avert ramp collapsed under the weight of the riders and crew in Europe during a BMX contest.
MINI RAMPS
All above ground parks should have a mini ramp. The most common mistake made while constructing mini ramps is making them too low or too narrow. A standard mini ramp should be 24 to 36 feet wide. This gives enough space for riders to practice a wide range of skating tricks. It should have a height of 5 to 8 feet.
FUN BOX
A strong metallic or wooden fun box should also be fitted in the landing area for riders to grind.
SURFACE
Heavy-gauge steel surfaces provide a smooth and strong riding surface and are hence preferred to plastic, wooden or concrete surfaces. However, they can become very hot, and hence not good enough in places that experience hot climate. In areas that are too wet or neighboring residential areas, they may also not be the best to use since the steel may get rusty hence posing the danger of collapsing. Moreover, steel surfaces are normally noisy while riding. See also: skateboard reviews for beginners
Conclusively, the design and the construction company should be so perfect because agencies lack reference standards to rely on for the structure to be guaranteed against defects and dangerous obstacles within the park.

If I were you I'd just skate in the stance that I do trick in.
It's way easier to learn to push switch than to do tricks switch, IMO.
Your skateboards life is way better than many. You should practice more and stay focused.
