    Exclamation Deck Cracking?! Need help

One of the plys on my Element Featherlight deck seems to be cracking. It's about 2 inches long next to the trucks and doesn't go very deep but it pops and cracks whenever I put any weight on the board. I know it's most likely caused from my deck being extremely thin and bowing when I apply weight. I'm afraid that one day I will jump on it and the deck will snap in that area. Has anyone saw or experienced this? It hasn't grown in size but it's a concern and I want to fix it to prevent it from getting any worse. All comments are appreciated!

Decks break, it happens. It's a part of skating.

I mean you could put some wood glue in it if it helps you feel better, but yeah decks aren't too repairable. Could put some thought into why it cracked in the first place. Are you a heavy dude? Some decks out there are made sturdier than others, at the expense of other factors, of course.

I'm a slightly heavier guy, 175 lbs lol. My deck is a featherlight and was made significantly thinner and lighter than normal decks, I didn't pay attention when I bought it for my first board.

From my experience elements snap all the time, my friend broke a brand new element board like 2 hours after buying it.

Time for a new board so you can keep rollin.

I'd recommend anything made by Krooked/Real/AntiHero. They are my favorite decks made by the same company.

I'm left skating with an old hand-me-down Hook-Ups board that is almost as old as I am lol. It's chipped a lil on the nose and I've noticed cracks along the hardware. I might retire it before I snap it on accident. Gonna buy something that is sturdy and can withstand a lot of force.
