I'd advise against it.
21 years old currently interning for a big bank in the city doing IT work. The few times I have brought my board to work I've kept it in a large black garbage bag strapped to my element bag which I doubt looks much better than me just carrying the board in by hand. I do this because I'm sure alot of these people in the corporate world stigmatize skaters which sucks. I'd like to start bringing in my board more consistently considering the weather is getting nicer. What do you think ?
I'd advise against it.

Yeah if you are already worried about negative astigmatism, then I wouldn't bring it.
Are you skating to work or something?
Can't you just ride a bike or something?
I was going to bring this up, I don't see any difference between people riding a bicycle to work and a skateboard. As long as you're not shredding stairs and curbs at work on your work breaks I don't see anything wrong with it.
Although people do find ways to judge over little things, I personally would ride my board.
lol I even got shit for bringing my board with me to the hospital when I was doing an internship there in 11th grade
-absolutely stupid but..- people.
Damn, I guess it's not the best idea and getting to work without a board isn't a problem I just like being on my board. Corporate america sucks.
I dunno, I feel like skating's become more "accepted" by the average corporate Joe or whatever in recent years. I'm sure it still all depends on company culture and what not, but maybe you could find a way to ask somebody who you work for (or a few people) whether they think it'd be weird or not. Or maybe there's a reception area or something in the building where you could leave it? Also I think they make skateboard bags that probably look a little less sketchy than a garbage bag.
It really shouldnt matter to be honest, but we still live in a culture where a person who has tattoos on display during an interview will find themselves "unsuitable for the role"
If you are actually skating to work, though, I don't think there should be a problem unless you get a weird smell or something. I would say a nogo on the black trash bag, I think that would look way worse than just the skateboard.
I remember a lpt of office workers in London riding fucking penny boards and longboarders. I personally wouldn't do it until I got myself more established in the job. I brought my skateboard to work once and all my colleagues did was make stupid remarks about doing tricks.
I'd do it more often but it's just too hot and I'd stink of sweat all day.

Dont have experience in an office job but i dont think you should just because of all the negative stigma there is behind it. Like skating as an adult is looked down on more professional workplaces. It might be cool if you worked at a grocery store or any other work place that isnt in an office. Idk i hate how they judge people with tattoos and skating. They act like theyre fucking menaces to society. I get looks just skating to my all white grocery store thats filled with older healthy ladies and organic food. Its all shit

Are there no 33" bags to put away your board in? Seriously, I'm asking because I never see pros in "travel" videos have one for planes. And a quick search on bags at SW and Active yield the same old backpacks and totes that aren't what I would expect at skate stores.
you gotta ride up to your cubicle and tre flip into your office chair
thats how you get a promotion bruh
I like to skate at the college I go to but I wouldn't skate if the professors of deans were around. I work on a farm and yesterday my boss saw me skating in my friend's drive way and it was just really uncomfortable. I'm only 16 and don't know a thing about the corporate world but if I were you I wouldn't skate to work, it's looked down upon as unprofessional and you shouldn't risk your job just for the freedom of skating. There's a time and place for skating and at work isn't one.
I'm an EMT and everyone I work with knows I skate. I'm not the only one either. I get together with a couple of the other guys I work with a couple nights a week. Maybe an office job is different. Someone sitting at a desk all day isn't cut from the same bolt of cloth as someone who rides in the back of an ambulance for a living.
