My first post, My towns skateable surfaces have become almost un skateable.

I'm 28 and just started skating again after about a 5 year hiatus. The old tricks are coming back, kickflip, heelflip, shuvits (both ways) fakie big spin my favorite trick ever. The reason I'm in the wheels department is before I never gave one thought to my wheels or bearings. I usually took my friends old ones and used whatever. I used have a full shoebox full of old wheels and bearings trucks and hardware because I would never let anyone throw shit away I would take it. All the concrete in my town has eroded so much since I last cruised the streets and these generic bones wheels I'm rocking kind of suck for it. Whats the best wheel for a smooth ride. I'm not a real tech skater, and I'm not jumping down any stairs. I mostly love grinding ledges and skating little rails. I can do front boards to fakie out all day. I would love to learn how to skate ramps but until I have a spot to build my own its not really happening, no skateparks worth visiting around me. Funny story the reason I bought a board was because I saw a video of a 330 lb guy landing 360 flips, I never landed a 360 flip in my life and I thought I wanted to before I die, but everytime I skate I really dont think about getting into the learning process, plus I skate by myself because no one skates here anymore so getting inspired and pushed is a little hard. Maybe someday.

you will have to use wheels with a lower durometer. I skate rough surfaces with 90 a wheels.

I hear good things about Spitfire 80HD's. Supposed to be super smooth and fast. Going to be my next set of wheels for a second set up because the street skating here is rough af and full of gravel. Since I started back up this previous Spring I've rolled Bones STF, Element 95a and 99a Spitfire formula fours. I love the F4's. They feel softer than the 95's while sliding better on concrete and pavement and seem to be the best all around wheel so far. I skate park, mini ramp and street. Stf's felt gnarly on rough surfaces to me. Just my 2 cents though.
