52mm VS 53mm?

Hey, I'm an amateur skater using my old complete board's wheels (Speed Demons, the only part left till I complete my setup). And I'm gonna hop on some Spitfire wheels (probably Spitfire Bighead). As I can see, every milimeters differ. Will I feel much difference if I use 52 or 53mm? I would prefer 53mms for more speed and more durability (I heard Spitfires burn fast, wheels will get smaller) but 52mms sounds good by its acceleration speed and weight (it makes sense I guess). What should I do?

Edit: One more question, I'm riding Thunder Polished Hollow (HIGH) trucks. Is 52 or 53 decent for it?

Edit 2: According to high street skating trucks, what can go wrong if I get some 52-53-54mms?

No, they're not. And they give you more speed. Plus they'll wear down as well

btw I'm street skater, that means I'm based on flip tricks, ledges... Rarely go on a quarterpipe.

nvm, I can't find much choices of 55 and 56mms. You guys sure they are okay for street skating? There's a Spitfire Classic 55mm (the one ugly looking) on Turkish locals (greetings from Turkey!), and there's no Bones STF 55-56mms :/

55mm is fine for street skating. You can adapt to anything, part of human nature. There's nothing wrong with 53 though. If those are the best available to you, go for em.

So I have to make a choice between Bones STFs and Spitfire Bigheads :P I'll go for 54mm on my first wheel choice. Thanks for the answers!

Go with the stf's. More durable and just all around better wheels. I have big heads that I used for maybe a week before going back to stf's and then f4's. 54 is a good size.

I will go for Spitfire this time cuz I won't be able to skate every damn day while autumn and winter so it won't get flatspotted easily. I just have one more question: What's the point of Spitfire Wider (Mike Anderson SFW) wheel shapes? Its surface is wider and it is kinda mellow pitted from both sides. What's that for?
