Here on silverfish longboarding forun... you can get the answer.
And then you have found a good downhill setup, let us know it here, then you can help us.
I have such doubts about the importance of board length.

Because the answers to your question already are on this spicifik longboarding forum.
If somebody gives the same answers here, it will be great.
If you see youtube videos of downhill longboarding, you'll see different longbords in the game.
There is not only one, that is the best.
I still prefer my skateboard with inliner wheels, but I have a lot to learn.
In the future maybe I will buy a cruiser board, but not a longer board.

I will try to answer your question, here we go... (Excuse my english, I'm from Germany :) )
Your Downhill-Board should be long and wide, also with a U-concave, so it will be easier to hold balance on board when you're riding high speed. There are also boards, which have recesses over the wheels, so your board and the wheels won't touch (wheelbites!) when you're steering... This often ends with you hitting the road :)

Thanks for sharing such informative post. I think a rectangular shape for HyperOutdoor longboard is perfect for downhill riding because its way safer like that. The #HyperOutdoor skateboard have a safety rule which you can better understand on the official HyperOutdoor website. Anyway thanks for taking my help and I feel it my privilege if you can find any positivity in my comment.
