Default When is it a good time to buy new shoes?

I've had the same pair for about 1 or 2 months now and the front foot is already ripping in the top. I know ripping is inevitable and it's best to ignore it, but at what point in time should I buy a new pair. I don't wanna go broke buying a new pair too early but I also don't want to have a shit pair of skate shoes that fuck up certain things. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

I try to get three months out of my shoes but I end up only getting like 1 and a half to 2. To know when its done is either when the sole of the shoe has a hole or whenever you just look down and think, "damn, I need some new shoes." Shoe goo if you don't like getting new shoes like me.

When you can see your socks, then use shoe goo until the sole wears out.

The good time to buy shoes has nothing to do with how your current shoes are in terms of wear. Nothing!

Pretty much. Or in other words, whenever they are significantly on sale. If you're tight on cash, the worst thing you can do is wait until your shoes are dying or dead and buying new ones at that point. That's not good planning/saving.

^true, it's good to buy a new pair before the ones you're skating totally die, that way you can wear the new pair around to break them in and skate the old ones till they die

When i was a kid I never bought skate shoes. I only skated hand me downs. My parents did not believe in wasting money

My parents don't really mind getting me a pair but I feel bad not telling them that one pair only lasts for so long. They weren't happy to see the hole in one already.
