Default What the fuck happened to Welcome skateboards?

Seems most of their team is gone and they have Jordan Sanchez as the brand mascot, the new promo on Thrasher was nothing like their old videos. What's going on with Welcome? Where did Nolan, Jesse Alba, and Mango go?

Alba and Mango are on some new company called Frog Skateboards along with Pat Gallaher who left Format. Not so sure about Nolan.

Welcome boards? They range from $45-$55 although their "old school" board costs around $60

The price seems ok for the US. I really want one, but they are quite expensive in Europe. I can get krooked or real for 50 euros, while Welcome are around 65 and thats for the 8.25 sizes. The 8.5 and bigger get to 70-75 Euros

Read around on this, apparently Welcome makes quite the bank and sells a ton of boards, but still didn't pay their riders at all. Also it seems the whole brand was kind of molded by Nolan and the owner of the company just rode on his coat tails until it became successful. Would like to read a Jenkem interview with one of their past riders.

anyone else think its ironic that ryan townley is on welcome now? He's sponsored by HUF(who kicked off Ryan Lay for riding for welcome a while back).
