Idk man. Kane's a little shit, but he's not even close to being charged with a crime yet. Rape kit showed up negative. Not to say he didn't do it, but right now it seems unlikely he's going to be charged with a crime, or at least rape. He'll probably get the Kobe way out, even if he did do it.

Bad year for crime in the NHL. Usually it's a relatively clean league as far as violent crimes go, but Voynov beating his wife and now Kane, it's not looking as good.

Maybe we can get a fantasy league going? Idk if we have enough hockey fans here.

I haven't watched much hockey the past few years but I was in some leagues when I was in high school. I'd join a league if you guys made one.

If we can get 8+ I'd get it going. Idk if it would be worth it with less people.

I'd be down, it would be my first time doing fantasy hockey but it will be fun. I'm not fully up to speed on every player but I'll catch on quick.

It's pretty easy. I generally just made my lineup at the beginning of the week and made a few minor adjustments for injuries and stuff as the week went on.

    So far we have

    Crail
    Dr. Science
    Wangster
    King
    Me

As potential players. I mean I could probably get a few of my friends to play, but a few more SBC players would be fine too.

thoughts on 3v3 overtime? ive only watched a couple, its cool and all but it seems like to much of a gong show to be a deciding factor in professional hockey imo. Its also so easy to keep puck possession from the games i saw. Whatever team got the puck usually held it until they scored

I like it, I think it's at least a little more hockey like than a shootout, and it seems to be an almost guaranteed goal.

im sure part of the sloppiness etc is due to the fact everyone is learning the ropes of 3 v 3 so theres hardly any system involved still feeling it out. Id rather see this over shootout for sure though.

i mean thats the thing, all the arguments you can make against 3v3 you can make against the shootout as well and 3v3 is actually hockey at least. i feel like 4 min 4v4 then 4 min 3v3 would be cool though. 4v4 is actually great hockey and 3v3 will at least settle most before the S/0. i guess that runs too long though. i wonder how 5v5 with no goalies would be lol

Rangers suck at faceoffs, fuck that. I think we had one player over 50% last season

being an oilers fan is probably the biggest regret of my life. Every year is the same damn thing, they get great talent in the draft, things look up so i get my hopes up, then they fucking suck once again. Even if they get good now its tainted by the fact that they got 4 first overalls in like 6 or whatever years. That aside I've been a fan for too long to just give up on them, especially when they have the potential (on paper at least) to get good any time if they can get their shit together

i guess its what i get for bandwagoning them when they made the SCF

I feel they're just terrible at player development. I mean their first rounders (not including mcdavid who has too small a sample size too judge) have been ok but underwhelming, especially since many of them were first overalls. But holy shit they NEVER find talent in the later rounds. Rangers have been improving year to year not because of first rounders (since we trade em all), but because of 2nd/3rd round picks and that 7th round pick in net.

i don't understand why the hell the ducks can't score a goal, they're dominating every game they play and outshooting the other teams by a fuckton and still can't win

christ Blue jackets 0-8 so far thought they might be decent this year. Wonder how much of it is truly bad coaching, or Bobrovsky being cold.
