I've always thought it's better to buy wheels from an actual wheel company such as Bones, Spitfire, Autobahn etc who's main focus is wheels as opposed to wheels from Element, Girl, Zero etc. No disrespect to them and I'm sure their wheels will skate fine but I'd rather have ones from a proper wheel company.

stay away from the ones with an inner plastic core. had a set of those (Element brand obviously, but my point stands for all wheels with a plastic core really) in the late 2000's, they were pretty damn expensive too. plastic core just snapped after about a week, flattening out the wheel and making it unskatable. get something from a real wheel company.

This has always been my opinion is well. Ive had a couple sets of wheels from deck companies that I've liked, but ive had plenty of stinkers too. Best to stick with an actual wheel company that you know will be good
