Spoiler alert for Felipe v.s. Fyock

Did anyone else think that game was dissapointing? I mean, both of them missed really easy tricks (especially Will at the beginning) and it seemed so anti-climatic. Not saying I could do any better, but I was really dissapointed that Felipe didn't pull through. Ah well.

So I guess those predictions I made and submitted didn't .... ugh

However, after looking closely at Marty's, I can say that I have the exact same picks, except I picked Matt Berger over Sean Malto. I guessed Cody to go all the way this time too.
Crazy how similar we picked. I feel the PJ might win fucking up my pick and Malto hasn't passed the first round in recent memory. Cody looked way too dominate last BATB not to repeat.

I feel like they both just had bad days that's all. I know both Felipe and Will have a bunch of diverse bag of tricks. I wasn't disappointed mostly because I was rooting for Will over Felipe

Not only that, but he's only been back skating for a short while after his surgery. He's gonna get murked.

I feel like Cody might take this again but I'm still anticipating his round.

Likewise. Stomped his tricks hard and clean last BATB, has confidence too.

Yeah, his enormous bag of tricks along with his consistency isn't easy to match. Winning SKATE to zip against Luan was pretty crazy.
I don't see anyone on this years BATB taking him out.

Cody vs. Shane was one of the craziest games ever last year.

What'd you guys think of the P-rod and Spencer Brown game? I found it funny how Spencer was able to drop the hammer on P-rod with some sick tricks but when Paul was on offense Spencer was struggling with pop shuvits.

i found it boring and predictable. idk how these guys are nollie bigflipping but then blow it on a fakie flip or front shuv. I'm sure by the time we get even to semifinals we'll be seeing 360 front shuvs, and switch too. Seeing these guys missing tricks like a regular front shuv in a game of this level makes me cringe. Even prod said he wasn't expecting to win.

feel bad for anyone playing Luan, watching him stomp waist high technical tricks at top speed must be intimidating

Yeah. Something about him must be infectious when it comes to forcing other guys to skate faster.

BTW, why doesn't he have a shoe model yet? Seriously, he's from THE skate country outside the U.S. and the top guy at the moment. Nike can't find a way to market this? I understand the case of guys like Shane, Ishod, Malto, and Corey Kennedy while being at the top of their games don't have the following that PRod and Koston have, but Luan...

Those four have a more of a marketability and following than Luan, though. Brands are in it to make money, and those four would push sales more than Luan unfortunately.

Yet none of those four have shoe models either.

It's Nike, I'm surprised Omar even had a shoe, and honestly I'm surprised it was Janoski that was given a pro shoe at the time, which they're very fortunate they did so. But Cory had a Janoski color way at one point. Malto is also the only one of the five to have even had a pro shoe.

If Luan had stood on Globe, he'd have a shoe by now. But it's all about that Nike money.

I heard they gave Janoski a shoe because he was gonna leave Nike, and they gave him a large percentage of royalties because they didn't think the shoe would sell well, hence why they made the Team Editions nearly identical.

Ya Gunz, boring week. Hope next weeks is more exciting. I still don't get why they put new guys on well seasoned skaters that have been in multiple BATB and expect good games

I don't think he gets paid for them anymore. He like sold his name rights to Nike recently
