    Default Spitfire Formula Four 101a 51mm Classics

    A new page entry has been added:

    [drupal=1129]Spitfire Formula Four 101a 51mm Classics[/drupal]

    While the Formula Four wheels from Spitfire have been out some considerable time now they are still the most recently developed wheels from Deluxe Distribution. In recent months we have seen plenty special editions and pro models released to continue the sales momentum, everything from coloured versions to pro models for both Thrashers 2013 Skaters of the Year (Ishod Wair), as well as the boss, Andrew Reynolds - which bears a Spitfire flaming skull in a beanie hat. Very recently they have also released a Lance Mountain model.
    An all new formula first released back in 2013, the new formula is claimed to provide the hardest wearing wheels Spitfire have ever made - and as with so many wheels, claim to be flat spot resistant. Sadly these days almost all wheels are sold with claims of being flat spot resistant, so anybody with any experience of buying wheels will know that such claims should always be taken with a pinch of salt.

    I really love the thoroughness of your review and I agree with pretty much everything written. I love my 101a and my 99a formula fours.

    Cheers pal, i'm really looking forward to trying the 99a's.

    My only criticism of them is how skatey they get at high speed, more so than other Spitfire's i've ridden.
    But unless you live somewhere you'll be skating really fast it's definitely not a big problem.

    I'm never skating another wheel again.

    my birthday is in 3 weeks and last year i got 56mm formula fours, and im still fuccing riding them! love them, probably the best wheel I've had other than ricta naturals. probably going to try convincing my mom to get me another set as these are at least like 40-45 mm by now lml. still no flatspots which is amazing for spitfire (in my experience).

    I was on the 52mm 101 duro ones for a while. I bought the 99's just to try them and fell in love. I thought I couldn't like anything more than those 101's but I was wrong. You'd think with them being a bit softer they wouldn't slide as well, but they do, and they don't rattle you as much as the 101's do if you're riding on really rough surfaces like I do around here when i'm going from spot to spot. This review is spot on, though.
