yes, skateboards get caught on pretty much fucking everything like stones, pebbles, rocks and any other small objects. best thing to do is either look out for them or get bigger wheels.
heya,
newbie here, on both forum and skateboards. not sure if i got a dud or if this is normal, was trying out my secondhand skateboard in an empty carpark (concrete floor) but it got to a grinding halt cuz it hit a piece of twig (1 inch roughly).
i enjoy kissing concrete on all fours as much as the next person, but is this normal ...?
ta, john

1 inch long or high either way youll get caught on it
1 inch long. i actually felt as if something got stuck and it scraped hard against the concrete floor, grinding it to a sudden halt. i could see the marks it left.
thing is i wasn't even going that fast ... and if i were, how r u supposed to spot something so small which blends in with the ground anyway
You go fast so small twigs don't stop you.
the best is when it happens when your coming up to a set of stairs, preferably getting ready to nollie
