    Default What were the oldest companies to sell skateboards?

    Looking for some old school skateboards and want some brand names thanks.

    How old school do you want ? I believe you can get a fiberglass Z-flex again. And of course, Powell-Peralta is always making great 80s style boards,

    The thing about reissue boards though is that they are even drilled for the old truck pattern. That means if you do buy one you have to get old trucks, new trucks with 2 sets of holes, or re drill for the new mounting pattern.

    Also:

    Hosoi, Dog Town, SMA, Sims, Zorlac, Madrid, Alva, Walker

    I'm not sure how many of these companies are still in business.

    Alva and Hosoi are.

    Indy's 159 (And up possibly) have eight mounting holes for old school bolt patterns.

    There's Hobie, Makaha(all the new plastic dork cruisers are modeled after theirs) Logan Earth Ski, Bahne, G&S, Kryptonics, OJ Wheels. All of those are pre-80's a couple are even pre-1970. Or are you looking for the obligatory Dogtown, Powell Peralta, Santa Cruz and Z Flex?
