Finally bought a board! Good places to skate in North East?

Well, after some time i went and bought a board. I got an Enuff logo 2013 board. I'm obviously a new beginner so I'm gonna take a while to learn to start, stop and turn. But is there any good places in the North East to skate? or Learn to skate?

If you mean North east in the UK there is a nice indoor skatepark called The Works in Leeds

Durham area mate, Leeds is about an hour away from me. It would be worth a visit when I learn the basics!

only park i can remember in durham is a bowl

theres silksworth park in sunderland (the 20 bus from durham stops near there)
5bridges park & exhibition park in newcastle

theres also a few shit council built parks around sunderland but theyre not worth mentioning really

if you're literately a brand spanking new skater then stick to your drive way for a few days to a couple of weeks until you start to get confident with actually starting, stopping, turning etc

I live in Durham, and Preston park on Yarm road has a great skate park and Billingham has an ok one too.
