Second Day Back.
Kickflips and Heelflips are getting landed. Still have zero balance and am not super comfortable on my board yet.
Got a few fs full cabs though and some bs big spins. Got a few varial flips and tried a few tres for shits and giggles and almost had a couple of those.

Bought a pair of foot print shoes cause i got them active duty knees and they only $35 with shipping.
The impact protection was real, unfortunately the boardfeel was nonexistent, couldnt get my ollies to grip either. Also might have been the biggest 9.5 shoe i've ever seen.
Whatever, they came with the the huge kingfoam insoles that run $25. So I aint even mad.

Bruh, I can barely ride the 8.0" setup I have. I bought it because I wanted something smaller than my 8.37" but I should've settled on 8.125 or 8.2. 7.5 feels comically small to me. I'd much rather skate a board that's too large than too small.
my size 14 skate shoe slaps that skateboard around how I need it, my only problem are the injuries I took over the 19 years. my flicking foot is the worst followed by both knees then my back is pretty shit from landing on it constantly.

i used to live or die by 8s or above but nowadays 8s feel like a fuckin boat on my feet lol
I skate an 8 (or anything close to, so a 8.125 or even an 8.139) nowadays, but I do miss skating 7.75s.
It's just hard to get the right size Thunders for that board size, though.

Have you gotten your new board yet ? Most people ride between an 8' and 8.5'' decks. Also depends on your feet size. Smaller boards are easier to flip and a bit lighter.
If you are on a budget just get the cheapest skate at the skateshop that feels good under your feet and get proper bearings and wheels cause these will make a big difference. 101A if you want them to slide easily and the lower number you get the stickier they get.
You can also use our new skate web app at https://www.sk8orama.com to play the skate dice game on your phone, it will help you get challenged to try new tricks or find parks. We made a difficulty just for beginners with simple tricks.

Still skating to this day and will never stop... I fractured the end of my fibula and the doctors are now leaning towards me getting screws but it's up to me. I feel like I don't want them, it's only like 1-2 mm displacement and I wanna recover faster. Surgery is booked for tomorrow but I think I'll cancel.

Yeah the surgery went great. My shit is feeling a lot better after a few weeks recovery. Pain was hell for the first few days but nothing a little Dilaudid can't fix. Should be back on my board in no time
better to wait than struggle through recovery, i didn't and it just makes recovery longer.
