i purchased an a-1 last night in my obsession of cameras i don't know how to use
my mommy is going to rage so hard that i bought another camera

anybody want a canonet? aesthetically it's mint, although there is some minor battery corrosion that essentially renders the meter useless. rangefinder is clear though, and all shutters and apertures seem to be accurate
    still works perfectly manual

How does everybody just randomly get girlfriends, because they don't go skating? I haven't skated in forever and I'm still the lone wolf (lone wolf=better than saying single).
I was gonna go to VW's sideshow, but it's almost as much as my festival ticket where I get to see them + Tegan & Sara + Spoon + Miami Horror + Muph and Plutonic + British India.
If my friend fails to sell his Phoenix ticket, guess where it's going to for free?
Damn straight you know it's me.

I'm real lazy, add me. Joseph Buchan is my entire name.

I went into the art department today and apparently this girl in my favorite teacher's photography class has my photo's stuck all over through her book, and quoted me and shit. Pretty gnarly, considering I only remember talking to her once, and photography came up for about half a second. I said something to the effect of: "Being a photographer is awesome because girls think you're deep and want you to take their picture".

    Hyped.

-Got back from Dallas last weekend from a week of shooting with my dad and his friends. super, SUPER good learning experience. Got me really stoked on photography as a whole. Good feeling
-Possible hookup with Richmond's AP photographer means potential for a job and damn good experience
-School isn't bad. I just found out how rad figure drawing is this morning, my other classes could be a hell of a lot worse.
    -Vampire Weekend is dumb
    -Woo.

Hmm, well I cant play chords and all very easily on the guitar, and could probably learn most things as long as I was given time, as long as there isn't a huge shred section, or Arppegio (fuck spelling stuff right).

So yeah, its definitely helps. I mean, I've had it since saturday and I can play a couple of chords by memory, and all the others are easy to play when I know the positions.

The biggest feat you will have to overcome is that before you get to the 5th fret, the top string on the neck, is actually the second string on the bridge, and thats awkward for a while. Other than that right now I'm just working on learning simple melodys. Its not overwhelming or anything.

Contra takes a while to get into, but their debut was a refreshing change from most other New York indie groups.
    They're real good.

I now proclaim this: music argument thread.

I cannot decide if this means you are pro Contra or not.

Ska, whilst fun to play, I find rather tiring to listen to. Perhaps I just need more artists.

The Unicorns are the single greatest band of all time and there is no reason for further conversation.

Phoenix is playing in April at some nightclub in Santa Cruz, bummer since I'm not nearly twenty-one
Metric, The xx+Hot Chip, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, and The Temper Trap are all visiting San Francisco/Oakland the next few months, though. Tough choice...
