Going to San Antonio, TX this weekend to meet up with a college buddy. Never been to Texas so I'm hyped. It's supposed to be hot as fuck but we're still planning on doing a ton of skating.

Well fellas, Hurricane Ian kicked my ass. Our home took on a foot of water, so there’s significant damage and cleanup. It sucks but things will get better in time. It’s easily the worst storm I’ve ever seen in my life, the scale of damage from the flooding is awful.

We had stupid flooding here a while back and my house at the time flooded, it still triggers me if there's heavy rain

I have flood insurance along with home insurance. Lost the lower cabinets in the kitchen, oven, fridge, dishwasher, all the flooring on the first floor, all of the furniture downstairs, all of the lower electrical receptacles need to be replaced and 18 inches of drywall need to be replaced. Not sure about the framing yet.

Yeah Volusia county has a federal disaster declaration for FEMA but I don’t have time to wait for that. We have a place to stay in the meantime while insurance gets sorted out for the work and damages.

That shit flooded my old house completely. Luckily I left florida months before that shit started but I was still on the lease so I may have to deal with some bills for damage. I really don't know how it works the leasing company may just be trying to pin some shit on me. I would assume I wouldn't be responsible for damage from a hurricane lol
