So I thought I'd start a thread about cars, seeing as we have a couple real car enthusiasts on this site. Anyways if you have a car post what you drive and a picture if you wish. Tell us about your dream cars, the mods on your car or anything car related really.

I turned 16 in January, so since I was around 14 years old I've really been into cars. More or less Tuners and Imports rather then American Muscle. I'm currently purchasing a Mitsubishi Evo VIII with a little help from my parents. Here's a picture of what I'm hoping to purchase, if I can't I'll just purchase one off of Autotrader, preferably Black ;]


(Sorry my original post wouldn't work. This is the same car except the one I want has different rims) Amazingly enough it's only going set me back approximately $12,500 and with my parents paying for some of it, it won't be that bad.

I'm looking to put in a few mods over the summer, just a few bolt on mods, nothing major. Preferably:

- ARC Super Induction intake Box
- A full Turbo back exhaust 3" made by AMS
- Upper and Lower intercooling pipes
- Greddy Blow off Valve.

That's about all I'm hoping to put into my car during the summer, possibly a new shift knob and a short shifter kit.

If anyone wants to help me look for a car read below

Okay basically here's what I'm looking for:

- Medium to low mileage approximately 75,000 and down
- All wheel drive (Front wheel drive is negotiable)
- Drives on gasoline and has decent MPG
- I'm open to both Two and Four door cars
- Manual Transmission no exceptions
- 4 Cylinder Turbo engine
- I'm open to any extra options and any color schemes that the car may have.

I'm willing to spend a maximum of $15,000. Combining my money, the money I make during summer helping my grandfather make cement and a summer job, and my parents money there putting in I'll have approximately $15,000. I can't see myself finding an STi for that price but there's still that chance.

Here's a list of cars I'm interested in:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (2003 - 2005) VIII
Subaru WRX STi (2003 - 2005)
Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo (1997 - 1999)
Mazda RX-7 (Third Generation)
Nissan Skyline GT R32
Toyota Celica

Now considering all the cars I listed I could probably take out some of them because of my price range and because I'd have to import them. So technically the Skyline and Celica are out of the picture.

I plan on driving this car through the city and occasionally tracking it and or drag racing it on the drag strip. The car will be modified with after market parts over the time I have it.

Anyone have any ideas? The main three options are the Mitsubishi Evolution, the Subaru WRX STi, and the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Can anyone tell me anything bad about any of these cars and why I should choose one over another would be fabulous. Thanks a lot everyone.

That is the exact model and type of car I'm getting. It's not the same car but it's exactly alike. The only difference between the car I'm getting and that one is I'm getting one with Bronze Rota 4P5 rims. You know now that I look closely those are the same rims, just a different color.

We're real big car enthusiasts in my family except for my mother. My grandfather owns a 66 Mustang Fastback, a 57 Ford T-bird and a 1920 Model A. My father's a mechanic as well, no surprise there. I might just pick up and wrecked Evo VIII and fix the body work on it, then add aftermarkets parts to the engine. Not quite sure yet, I don't really want a salvage title for my car.

So I'm either choosing from a Slightly used, accident free Evo or a 350WHP+ modified beast with a Salvage title. Even though I doubt my parents would really want me driving around with that much horsepower. They probably expect me to dick around in my car because that's what they did when they were kids.

You lucky bastard. An evo 8 is my dream car. I have a 3000gt right now. I will be getting an evo this fall when I start my job welding at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. You should definetly thank your parents. Having a first car like that is going to be amazing. I Can't wait until I get mine. I'm eitheir getting a black or a blue evo 8. Everyone around here is silver and thats when I rarely see them.

Yes it is quite an amazing car and I thank my parents dearly. I was originally going to go with a 400WHP+ Subaru WRX STi, which I found for under $14,000. Unfortunately after reviewing the ad and all the information in it I came to the conclusion that it was a scam. My favourite color on the Mitsubishi Evo is definitely the Light blue or Tarmac Black.

Honda CRX's aren't that bad. As long as it isn't rusty it's a nice car to drive. I'd prefer a Honda Civic Hatchback or a Integra over it though.

I'm really hoping I don't get hit when I drive my car. My friend just got a 2004 Acura RSX Type R and he backed into a guy a broke his tail light and rear bumper. The sad part is the car was 18,000 and he only had it for two weeks. My other friend just got a 2005 Civic Coupe and got hit by a guy who ran a stop sign. He had his car for three days and it was totalled. It's being repaired now though but if that happened to my car when I just got it, I think I would of cried.

I'm assuming your trying to be funny but cars aren't made to have sex in. This car isn't "Weak shit", it's an AWD Turbo beast making 300WHP stock. Also I prefer cloth racing bucket seats over leather. In the summer leather burns your ass and in the winter it freezes you.

It's a Honda, as long as it goes 60mph your going stick the tires to the pavement, drift that car if it's that old and rusty. To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind a car I could torture and wouldn't have to be so careful about.

Not trying to be mean or anything but they make a little less than 300 to the flywheel. Not to the wheels. Also evo's arent impressive stock. I just want one because their sexy and have a large aftermarket. I mean my car makes 320 horse stock with 320 ft of torque.
