tbh, who cares, they are both skateshops, both trying to make money and undoubtedly both have a half stoned guy serving behind the counter :P

    Cool
my local shop, which i thought mainly sold bikes does sell quite good skating stuff but the decks in stock atm are not that good, they've got flip which are alright and santa cruz which i've heard are shite, but they sell bones red bearing and speed cream and other stuff. I'll have a better look next time i'm in there.

And it's not a chain of shops just this 1 shop run by this awesome guy in his 40's i think, he's pretty cool

support your local store.... get them to price match the web if you can... otherwise use an online store that is actually a skate shop too...

MY KEY TIP: AVOID EBAY - I learned the hard way that Ebay sellers with 1000's of positive ratings still sell Chinese FAKE replica stuff that is branded and packaged exactly the same as a decent brand (Eg Bones). I even left positive feedback before I realised!

Have you guys checked out bargainboards.co.uk ? A big online store but they have a shop in Hemel Hempstead in the warehouse as well. loads of stuff and great deals on shoes. I brought a set up from them last week and they were awesome.

Support your local store. But for your money Rollersnakes has a lot more cheaper deals on decks and stuff.

    Rollersnakes

I hate all the people saying support your local skate shop... just because we both skateboard doesn't mean you can tell me where to buy my stuff. It's usually more convenient for me to order stuff, so I'll order it.

to be fair tho most skateshops would price match products, and in that case you'd get it immediately instead of having to wait

What you need to realise is that its not just a straight price comparison. When you buy at your local skater owned shop, you're also supporting your local scene. So on the odd occasions when your local shop costs more, just see that as money well spent. Chances are if what your buying online is costing you less, its probably generic unbranded goods, which opens up a whole new argument

Support the local scene and your local shops as much as you can to keep them alive and running!!

But out of those two rollersnakes does seem to have better deals, prices and stock availability! Route one is only good for their cheap own brand jeans and hoddies!
