    Default Hump my butt

I've really been digging melodic black metal with keyboards in them lately.
You know, stuff like Hecate Enthroned & Vesperian Sorrow.

Care to recommend me some bands similar to them? I'll posi you if ya do.

Not if they're done right. Listen to "Centuries of Wolfen Hunger" by Hecate Enthroned, that's a good example of how I like the keyboards.

to me, the keyboards contradict the heaviness in music. it would be the same as country music with distorted guitars. kind of.

Let me word this better: I lke the keyboards when they're used in an atmospheric fashion. Not shit like Europe who uses them as a main instrument.

i get what you mean. i listened to one of hecates songs and it wasn't to bad. just a lot of melodeath stuff relies to much on keyboards and i don't like it. the only band i think pulls it off well is dark tranquility

I never was too fond of keyboards in metal, but theres some real wild shit when its used well in progressive rock and metal.

    John Rudess is gnarly.

I was never too fond of keyboards, but when I found Progressive metal a few few years its wild when its used like guitars.

This band kinda has some lameness to them, but its all I can think of off the top of my head right now, I am tired.

Also, check out Inquinok and Ceremonial Castings on myspace. Both local bands of mine, and they kick ass.
