they're all up in mah longboard... I'm almost scared to ride it.

I cant afford to put another set in mah street set up... I get most of my bearings for free from skateshop garbage bins.

that you doing the 20 foot drop if so, thats insane. Also, tip for the newbies:
bearings take a couple of weeks of skating before they really reach they're full speed so if your not happy with em just ride em for a bit and they should speed up. My bones ceramics go like four times faster then they did when i first got them wich was pretty recent..a week ago?

my rons ceramics on my park board are extremely fast but the 25 dollar steels on my street setup are quicker than reds or swiss for that matter.

does it matter which side is facing up??

for ex. bones reds - one side is red the other is clear...i have the red side facing up on the outer wheel and the red facing in on the inner wheel.

    thanks

Reds aren't double shielded, so the red shield always faces out. What are you talking about "one side is clear"? It's not clear, it's open.

^I have no clue what BOTH of you are talking about because on both sides of my Reds are are red shields.

I bought a set and got one from my friend- single shielded, both sets. The thing that comes with 'em says they have one shield each for easier cleaning. Whatever.

so you said that popping the shields off with make them louder, but how will i be able to get them to make that buzzing, motor-like sound when they roll? i hear people's bearings do that at the skatepark sometimes and it sounds cool to me. do you just remove the shield like normal or is there something else?
