I thought I saw you had posted a pic of a GTO. Yeah man, the ESI gets excellent gas mileage- its a great pizza delivery car (what I use it for).

With the performance chip, essentially it alters the air to fuel ratio via the PCM. I was mostly wondering if it would fuck up my PCM because of it.. I wasn't sure if you were familiar with it, but I thought that if I put in the cool air intake setup with the performance chip simultaneously, I would be fair game with the PCM. Could be wrong?

Thats about right! Dude, we seem to have similiar taste in automobiles.. is that your GTO? I have wanted one of those for a while.

I'm looking at putting a cool air intake kit in my ESI, along with the performance exhaust pipes.. do you recommend putting in a performance catalytic converter?

Hey man, I've got a 97 eagle talon ESI, was wondering your opinion about putting a performance chip in it. I've got a rebuilt auto transmission in there, new fuel filter, coil pack, spark plugs, plug wires, and air filter.

I know you've done a lot of work to a TSI. I'll have to put pics up of mine.

total luxury right there. my digital dash is fully functional but the tank is constantly reading empty along with the oil pressure at zero. popular opinion on the internets claim that both sending units/sensors are/were total garbage and replacing them with the redesigned unit will fix it...

I bet those fuckers thought they were being so fancy.

so what with owning two z31's and all, did you also run into the issue with the fuel level sending unit? seems to be a common problem, one of which I am experiencing hahah

Ah, yeah definitely sounds like a better idea. It'll be good to learn to do stuff on my own too. I'll give it a go when the time comes, I'm sure I can find a friend that knows enough to help.

Ahh nice, I'd like to do the work myself but I really know fuck all about technical work on cars. I'll see what I'll do when the time comes. Yeah, I saw that you went back to coils after the air. I don't mind the difference in handling and such, I just want to close the monster wheel gap and have some rear wheel tuck but not be static. I'm too lazy to want to take my time with shitty roads and curbs.

It's an amazing picture, he seems to be a well versed photographer. I've got some questions about air since you had it in your Bimmer. How was the ride quality compared to stock? I would assume smoother when not bottomed out/real low. Also, did you install it yourself, or get it done professionally?
