i know what you mean though, when you say that it's better than anything you've seen in the uk, it's better than most public skateparks in france too and usually we have the same kind of prefab parks as you do in the uk... i can't remember who designed it off the top of my head though but it shouldn't be hard to look up. anyway stoked all the info was useful and that you enjoyed your time around here... hit me up whenever you come back. cheers

haha yeah you've seen all those awkward dudes with weird longboards and bright cruisers that match the color of their sunglasses and everything, that trend is so funny and disturbing at the same time... that's awesome, yeah bordeaux is amazing for skating, the best city for that in france in my opinion... and i've been to a lot of them.

riot is the sickest skateshop in the entire country i think, not a huge fan of the park though... it's fun but some of the lines are badly thought up and it's always so crowded with kids, it's only really skateable around 9 or 10 in the evening... i never really go there anyway, so many amazing street spots everywhere.

there's also a nice walk to be taken all along the river (you can also rent bikes), everything there has been redone a few years back and is a very nice place now (it used to be a bunch of ugly warehouses... one could never tell). also look up pey berland / place de l'hôtel de ville for a very nice cathedral and bars and l'église saint michel. using the bridges and crossing the river isn't really worth it really, it's a sketchier and generally uglier part of bordeaux with much less things to do and see, with mostly residential areas and houses but you can always go explore there if you are bored.

hey yo i live in downtown bordeaux just in the middle of pretty much everything. it's a really nice city to visit in my opinion so you and your girl made a good choice, plenty of things to see, the architecture is amazing. here's a quick list of places to look up if you want to chill with your girl and hang out : le grand theatre (impressive old building in the 'richer' section of the city, with little plazas where people chill all the time all around it, close to a lot of restaurants / bars - fairly expensive though - and close to the main street with all the shops, worth checking out for sure), le jardin public (a nice little public park to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon, not much to see but it's laid back and does its job), la place des quinconces (it's empty but the statue and the fountains are worth checking out). all those locations are pretty much in the same area, very close to one another so you could check them out all in one afternoon i'm sure.
  7. Hey man, if you still want to put my track up on your blog I would be stoked. Here's the final version:

Tell me what you think about it
  8. If you wouldn't mind throwing those links my way, that would be awesome!
