Are most blank decks made from dwindle wood? Like shop decks?

And for trucks: thunder, krux, and indy. which one is the best bang for my buck?
other than the ones i listed which is the cheapest but good quality?

bearings: i want to get some rocknrons bearings but will they be too fast for a beginner? and how do reds compare to rocknrons?

wheels: for me ricta is probably too expensive and won't mean much for a beginner like me. Blank is just as good right?

grip: which is better jessup or mob?

I don't need an expensive ass complete but something that is under a $100 but good enough quality that won't break in a couple months after everyday practice.

no one knows who blanks are made by. to be safe, get a minilogo. those are made by powell.

thunders are quite great. another great truck brand is tracker. can't go wrong with those 2.

get rockn rons. there's no such thing as too fast.

just get blank wheels.

jessup.

^What Drizzle said, Minilogo are a very trustworthy company. Plus they are pressed in USA.

Mini-logo is the best way to go. Can't go wrong there. American made so you can be sure you are getting your money worth.

For trucks, I prefer krux but if it is beginning you won't be able to really tell. When I first started I just got the coolest design because I knew it wouldn't matter that much to me when I started. You may consider the lower the trucks the more pop you get so mabey go for lows.

Bearings don't matter, you will want something that can last rather then speed especially for newer people who like rolling threw sand, water, and everything else. The speed is more dependant on how hard you push rather then the bearing. If you apply the same force on two diffrent bearing the speed won't be extremly diffrent, so no need to concern with that. And what will speed even matter if your bearings are gunked up with crap. I prefer Redz because they last the longest for me.

Wheels don't really matter I would advise something big and soft. They will last longer and you can get over rocks without trouble. Just don't buy blanks from ebay or anywhere that isn't reliable because they will chip and flatspot easily.

A Good Tape is Jessup because it has grip that lasts even under hard conditions. MOB isn't anything special besides more expensive because it has pre-cut holes to stop air bubbles. If someone else is assembling it for you, they will fix it easy as that and you save a buck or two. If you are gripping it, just get a box knife and poke a hole in the air bubble and flatten it out.

All this should be under 100 bucks. Got any more questions you can PM me.

If you got any extra money left over you may consider some skate shoes, tools, shoe goo, or other accessories.

^bearings are actually quite important. if you push off hard, that makes a difference, but what about rolling distance? eventually, you're gonna stop. fast bearings let you roll farther.

and any bearing will last you forever if you just take good care of them.

It will not differ EXTREMLY I believe I said. I may be wrong on this but speed and rolling distance to not relate directly. There can be one bearing that keeps you rolling for a good while but not fast and another that gets you fast but not for a long time.

And you are right any bearing will last "forever" if you take good care of it, but I never clean my redz and I skate fairly frequently in a town filled with dust blowing often. I have used the same bearing for a year. they are the longest lasting bearing that requires little to no maintence that I know of.

yea if you want a long lasting cheap set up,
minilogo makes great decks for cheap. get them from blankskatesupply though you can save 5 bucks. Independent trucks will last you the longest out of those trucks they are just the strongest, whatever bearings you want, and dont get just blank wheels, get minilogo wheels. they are like the more expencive bones STF but they are cheap. they dont flatspot I would get those. Mob grip if you can get it.
